This is a limited edition CASE XX SS 8 DOT - 2 fixed blade knife set commemorating the 125th year of DRAKE'S OIL WELL. It is number 0414 /1000 in a limited edition. Each knife has matching serial numbers. This commemorative knife set was produced to honor the first commercially productive oil well drilled by Drake in 1859 in Titusville, PA. The set contains 2 genuine stag-handled, fixed blade hunters, M5 FINN SSP and 5 FINN SSP - both are fingergripped. The blades are CASE SS with a mirror polish finish. The smaller knife is about 7". On the blade it reads,"1859-1984 TITUSVILLE,PA." The larger knife is about 8 1/2" . The blade reads, "125 YEARS of OIL IN AMERICA" and has oil derrick Each blade has photo-etched artwork. Included is a black leather embossed knife sheath that holds both knives that reads, "CASE XX DRAKE'S WELL 125th YEAR". The wooden display board has an outline of PA and is about 14 1/2" X 9 1/2". It has a gold tone plaque that reads, "Drake's Oil Well Commemorative by CASE A Limited Edition of 1000." The location of Titusville is depicted by a special marking. This set has never been displayed, and is in excellent condition. Includes original Case invoice. Included Pumpkin Box is bright and like new.
