What is Soldster?
Soldster.com is a free website that makes online selling fast and simple.
You sell on Soldster by creating a free webpage for your items. Buyers will contact you if they are interested in what you have (you control your contact details).
You can also market your page yourself, telling your friends or potential customers about your page. Buyers always deal directly with you. If you make a sale, you collect payment directly from the buyer. Optionally
(at your sole discretion) we can collect credit card payments or PayPal payments for you (we earn a small commission for this optional service).
What can you sell on Soldster? Just about anything!
You can sell a single item or an entire estate. You can create many pages, one for each item, or create one
page for your entire lot. You can sell collections, estates, liquidations, surplus lots,
closeouts, warehouse lots, hoards, accumulations, overstocks, bankruptcies, or any
type of tangible or intangible asset (we even have buyers who buy domain names)!
Sell Faster with Soldster!
You sell faster with Soldster because we make it simple to sell. You can have your for sale page up and running in just a minute or two.
More and more people are finding that when they want to sell something fast, Soldster is the place to do it.
Two Ways To Sell on Soldster
With Soldster, you have two ways to sell. First, you can create a free For Sale Page using our
SIMPLE SELL form. You can add images to your page (if you want),
upload a complete inventory list (optional), and then write a detailed description. You can set your price or allow buyers to
make offers. If you ask for offers, interested buyers will then make offers to you in a sealed bid. Only you can see the offers. Don't
like the offers? Ignore them. You are under no obligation to sell.
The second way you can sell is by using the Soldster Price Engine. Search our database of "Instant Offer"
pages to find buyers of specific items. Need to sell a Rolex watch? Enter the word "rolex" into the Soldster search box (on the home page) and you will
immediately get back a list of Rolex watches with an "instant offer" for each watch.
These "offer" pages allow our buyers to find sellers by displaying actual sight-unseen cash offers for specific items.
Isn't This Just Like eBay?
Soldster is not eBay. First, Soldster is not an auction. Remember, Soldster buyers make private offers, directly to YOU.
When you fill out a Simple Sell form, your information is broadcast via email to all registered Soldster buyers who buy items like those you have for sale.
Buyers respond with their free, no obligation offer and you choose which buyer you prefer to deal with. You are not forced to sell to the highest offer. Why would you not want to sell to the highest offer?
Geography, for one thing. Say the highest offer is on the other side of the country, but the second
highest offer, only slightly lower, is in your hometown. Wouldn't you rather sell locally? With Soldster, you choose who you sell to.
eBay forces you to sell to the higest bidder.
It's Private.
On Soldster, all offers are sealed, only you can see them. On eBay, all bids are public. FYI: The IRS keeps a close eye on who sells what on eBay.
It's Fast.
The whole process of getting your listing in front of Buyers is much faster and easier than on other websites. For example, eBay requires
you to undergo a stringent application process. If you are approved, you may list items on ebay,
and hope for a buyer. Soldster is different because any seller can post an ad very quickly.
It's Free.
Soldster is completely free for sellers. eBay can take as much as 15% or more as their cut. Soldster takes no commission from sellers (unless you ask us to collect payment). eBay charges you a listing fee, regardless of
whether or not your item sells. Again, Soldster never charges any fee of any kind to sellers (unless you ask us to collect payments for you). We only make money from you in the event you ask us to collect payment from a buyer or hold payment in escrow while you complete a transaction.
Soldster is Not A Middleman.
Once you sell your item to a buyer, you deal directly with that buyer. Soldster does not get involved in the transaction unless you opt to have us collect payment from the buyer or act as the escrow agent.
If you should want a third party to hold funds in escrow, Soldster provides the Soldster Escrow Service. But escrow service is optional,
and you are free to use any other escrow service such as escrow.com.

For Buyers
For Buyers, Soldster is your Opportunity Engine. There are two ways
for you to profit as a Buyer. Either way, we feed leads to you.
First (and highly recommended but optional), you maintain a list of items you wish to
buy, along with corresponding prices you will pay. We call these "sight-unseen" offers. These pages become a sort of
"price guide" for potential sellers to refer to. If a seller wants to accept your offer, a point-and-click by the seller starts the buying process.
The second way to profit from Soldster is to receive email notifications of
all new for sale ads posted in your chosen categories. We call this the "Lead Feed".
When a seller posts a for sale ad or calls our toll-free number, we feed these opportunities
(aka leads) to you for your consideration. You use Soldster supply chain and lead management
tools to respond to and manage these leads. If a lead is converted into a deal, Soldster provides tools for
managing the shipping, receiving, and payment logistics. Soldster's goal is to become your Supply Chain Management System.
