WELCOME TO OUR SELLERS GUIDE
If you want to sell an overstock, a bankruptcy liquidation, an estate, or any sort of collection or
accumulation of items, tangible assets, real property, coins, jewelry, or whatever, you have a decision
to make. You can either sell everything at once, lock stock and barrel, or you can sell the items one by
one over a long period of time in many scattered transactions. The path you take depends on a number of
factors, including the amount of time you wish to invest in selling your items, how quickly you want cash,
whether you have the aptitude to deal with many individual people over many mail-order transactions, and so on.
Why use Soldster?
Soldster.com is a free website that makes online selling fast and simple. You sell on Soldster by creating a free webpage
for your items. Soldster registered buyers can then contact you if they are interested in what you have. You can also tell your
friends or potential customers about your page and they can deal directly with you. Optionally, (at your sole discretion) Soldster can
accept credit card payments or PayPal payments for you (we earn a small commission for this optional service).
Also, many buyers in the Soldster Buyer Network maintain "offer" pages showing what they will pay for specific items (this is called a
"sight unseen offer"). They can do this because each member is an expert in his or her field. Soldster Buyer Members buy in
many categories, from
gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, gemstones, rare coins, antiques, rare books, jewelry, sports memorabilia, rare stamps
and even antique zippo lighters.
How Does Soldster Work?
Briefly, it works like this:
- Create your free For Sale Page.
- Buyers Respond if they are interested.
- Buyers Make Offers or You Set The Price.
- For Offers, You Decide To Accept or Not (no obligation).
- You Negotiate Payment and Shipment Terms with Buyer.
- (Optionally) You and Buyer Use Soldster Escrow Services (a small fee applies).
- You Receive Payment by PayPal, Company Check, Cashier's Check, Money Order, or Wire Transfer - whichever you prefer.
Is Soldster Safe?
We realize that some folks are hesitant about conducting business over the internet and through the mail. We understand. That is why we help you navigate the
transaction process (optional service). DO NOT SKIMP ON BEING DILIGENT!
It is important that you feel comfortable when SELLING or BUYING on Soldster. In addition, Soldster provides a
FEEDBACK RATING for every Soldster Registered Member. Many of our registered buyers have completed hundreds of deals from people via
the internet and can provide references from happy, satisfied sellers for you to review. Soldster urges you to take the time to
check Buyer Feedback and Business References.
Shipping valuables to someone unknown is scary, right?
Online selling is scary for newcomers. That is why Soldster can help you complete your transaction in a safe way, if you so choose.
You have questions, like, "When do I ship the goods?" and "What if the buyer's check bounces?"
For those sellers who desire guaranteed good funds in advance of shipment, we offer the
Soldster Escrow Service, or you can use other escrow services such as escrow.com (be aware that the fees associated with
escrow are usually absorbed by the seller unless the buyer agrees otherwise).
