WELCOME TO OUR SELLERS GUIDE
If you want to sell an overstock, a bankruptcy liquidation, an estate, or any sort of collection or
accumulation of items, tangible assets, real property, coins, jewelry, or whatever, you have a decision
to make. You can either sell everything at once, lock stock and barrel, or you can sell the items one by
one over a long period of time in many scattered transactions. The path you take depends on a number of
factors, including the amount of time you wish to invest in selling your items, how quickly you want cash,
whether you have the aptitude to deal with many individual people over many mail-order transactions, and so on.
Why Use Soldster?
Soldster is free, fast, simple and safe. Soldster is a network of expert buyers, founded by 2nd Markets Corp., who has been a leading buyer of tangible assets
since 1986. Buyers in the Soldster Buyer Network have the experience and expertise to
make a fair appraisal of your items without seeing them in person (this is called a "sight unseen offer"). They can do this
because each member is an expert in his or her field. Soldster Buyer Members buy in many categories, from
gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, gemstones, rare coins, antiques, rare books, jewelry, sports memorabilia, rare stamps
and even antique zippo lighters. In each case,
our Buyers are reputable, licensed associates with impeccable credentials, including Better Business Bureau and Chamber
of Commerce memberships. Our Buyers maintain huge lists of items wanted to buy and corresponding
"sight unseen cash offers". Because our buyers are professional experts in their fields, each is able to make
these "sight unseen" offers for specific items, or entire collections.
Selling is fast and simple, unlike selling on a site like eBay. And when you sell with Soldster, you
don't have to hassle with shipping packages to buyers all over the country (or world!). You ship everything to one buyer in one
transaction, or test the waters with a small transaction first and scale up as you establish a business relationship.
How Does Soldster Work?
Briefly, it works like this:
- Tell Us What You Have by Online Form or by Phone.
- Buyers Will Respond, Usually Within 24 Hours.
- Buyers Make Best Offers.
- You Decide To Accept or Not (no obligation).
- You Do Your Due Diligence, Check Bank and Business References.
- You Ship To Buyer For Payment or Use Soldster Escrow Services (payment is made upon receipt of satisfactory goods unless you agree to other arrangements, such as Soldster Escrow services).
- You Receive Payment by PayPal, Company Check, Cashier's Check, Money Order, or Wire Transfer - whichever you prefer.
Is Soldster Safe?
We realize that some folks are hesitant about conducting business through the mail. We understand. That is why every Buyer Member
is required to make available their Banking and Business References, including Better Business Bureau and
Chamber of Commerce phone numbers, for you to verify before you proceed with any dealings. DO NOT SKIMP ON BEING DILIGENT!
It is important to us that you feel comfortable when dealing with any Soldster Buyer Member. In addition, Soldster provides a
BUYER FEEDBACK RATING for every Buyer Member. Many of our buyers have completed hundreds of deals from people via
Soldster and can provide references from happy, satisfied sellers for you to review. Soldster urges you to take the time to
check Buyer Feedback and Business References.
Shipping valuables to someone unknown is scary, right?
That is why we strive for the highlest levels of professionalism from our Buyer Members, and require them to
invest the time to have their professionalism verified by third-party accreditation organizations. For example, most
Soldster Buyer Members are members of both their local Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau's
Online Reliability Program. They have business licenses in their home city. And if you prefer to deliver your goods
directly to them in person, you are welcome to. Just let them know in advance, please.
For those sellers who absolutely refuse to ship goods without guaranteed good funds in advance of shipment, we offer the
Soldster Escrow Service, or you can even use other escrow services such as escrow.com (be aware that the fees associated with
escrow are usually absorbed by the seller unless the buyer agrees otherwise).
Furthermore, we provide our own Bank and Business References for you to check:
